More iconic gaming heroes head to N-Gage

Nokia has announced the latest addition to its games portfolio for the N-Gage with the imminent arrival of eight new arcade and home computer classics in the Atari Masterpieces Volume 2 collection.

Featuring four original arcade hits and four unlockable bonus games from the Atari 2600 games console, Masterpieces volume 2 enables older gamers to rekindle their affection for the iconic games of the 1980s whilst introducing a whole new audience to titles from Atari's original library of games.

Gregg Sauter, director of games publishing at Nokia, commented: "These games play virtually identically to the originals, but with an N-Gage twist; gamers can upload their high-score onto the N-Gage Arena for new century bragging rights and, as an added bonus, two people can play on one N-Gage together, using the Hot Seat function."

The collection consists of four arcade originals: Warlords, Tempest, Space Duel and Liberator. Atari 2600 titles which can be unlocked as players progress through the games and secure those all-important high scores include Pong, Crystal Castles, Centipede and Asteroids Deluxe.

Nokia will begin shipping the title for the N-Gage game deck in March 2006.
