Game developer Monolith has announced that Samantha Ryan will be stepping up to the role of CEO at the company following the departure of co-founder Jason Hall, who is heading up Warner Bros' new games division.

Ryan, who previously held the role of president at the company, will now hold both roles simultaneously. She joined Monolith in September 1998 and has worked in a number of key positions since then, including director of marketing, producer and COO.

Prior to joining Monolith, Ryan worked for a variety of companies including Infinity Broadcasting and Singapore Broadcast Corporation in roles related to marketing and product management.

"Monolith now numbers over 100 full-time employees, and we have the most promising line-up of products in the company's history," stated Ryan. "It's an exciting time, and I am very pleased to take up the reins and guide the company into the future."
