Mojang, Rovio take Develop awards

Playdead, Ninja Theory and Valve also recognised at Develop Conference in Brighton

Minecraft creator Mojang and Angry Birds firm Rovio were the big winners of the Develop Industry Excellence Awards, handed out at the Develop Conference in Brighton yesterday.

Mojang took New Download IP, New Studio and Micro Studio gongs, while Rovio bagged Handheld Studio and the Grand Prix award.

Limbo creator Playdead won Visual Arts, the year's Publishing Hero was Valve and Ninja Theory's Enslaved was awarded New IP.
