Microjocs launch San Fermines 2006

Escape the Pamplona bulls from the safety of your mobile

Mobile entertainment publisher Microjocs is offering mobile gamers a chance to experience the "thrills" of the world famous San Fermines festival, thankfully without the risk of impalement and potential death at the angry hooves of the Pamplona bulls.

Capturing the essence of the bizarre annual tradition in colourful cartoon form, players will need to peg it at full pelt through the narrow streets of Pamplona to escape the herd of angry bovine hot on their tails.

The game promises simple controls, colourful graphics and eight levels of bull-running action. To keep things even more intense, in addition to the obvious hazard of fierce bulls intent on tearing limb from limb, each level also contains a variety of obstacles which need to be manoeuvred around or leapt over in order to keep one step ahead of the charging mass of fur and horns.

Completion of all eight levels unlocks a Survival Mode, where the layout is random and the bulls are even angrier than normal, challenging even the most adept bull-runners to stay alive and in once piece.

Of course, you do get a little help along the way, thanks to some artistic licence on the developer's part which includes the ability to ride mopeds and ignite and straddle firecrackers for a bit of a speed boost to give you a breather before being mauled.

It's certainly set to send hearts racing, and if the adrenaline rush is what you're after, San Fermines 2006 should be available from mobile portals and network operators around the world now.
