Joins mobile/social developer Penté Group as president.

MONTREAL - Aug. 9, 2010 - Penté Group Inc., a leading developer of entertaining applications for mobile devices and social media based on entertainment personalities' licenses, today announced that Michel Besner has joined the company as President. Besner has more than 15 years of experience in bringing to market innovative products and solutions in game development and mobile messaging.

About Michel Besner

A leading visionary, Besner served as Co-founder and President and CEO of Kaydara, developers of MotionBuilder, HumanIK Middleware and the FBX 3D interchange file format. A revolutionary, real-time 3D animation software, MotionBuilder has been used in AAA games such as EA Sports' 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV, Epic Games' Gears of War 2 and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed, as well as blockbuster film franchises including The Matrix Trilogy and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Additionally, MotionBuilder was an instrumental piece in the development of the virtual cinematography and motion capture used in Avatar.

Following the acquisition of Kaydara by Alias Systems in 2004, Besner continued serving as the company's Vice President of Business Development. In 2006, Alias was acquired by Autodesk, with Besner taking the responsibility of the 3D entertainment and design visualization portfolio which incorporates celebrated software brands 3ds Max, Maya, MotionBuilder, HumanIK and FBX. Later, Besner moved into the mobile messaging market serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing at OZ Communications, an entity acquired by Nokia in 2008.

Penté Group has developed a unique monetization platform that allows the company to generate revenues from not only application sales, but also form strong partnerships to leverage monetization of virtual currency on mobile and social platforms, as well as an industry-first franchise loyalty program that works across multiple applications and platforms. As part of his role at Penté Group, Besner is currently raising additional funds in order to support the business plan and recent acquisitions of major musical franchises.

Besner has won several awards including Personality of the Year 2003/2004 by the Quebec Federation of IT (FIQ - Federation de l'Informatique du Quebec). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from l'Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
