Mevo & The Grooveriders

Competition launched for one winner to scoop 50 iTunes Games.

Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) July 6, 2009– Red Rocket Games, dedicated to creating original digital casual entertainment for your iPhone and desktop, today announced the “Win 50 iTunes Games” contest. On July 10th, one lucky winner will be randomly chosen at 5pm EST to win 50 iTunes Games from Red Rocket Games. To enter the contest, contestants simply need to send out a tweet with #redrocketgames in the message body. Each #redrocketgames tweet sent will be considered for the drawing.

Red Rocket is creating this contest to celebrate the availability of their 2 newly released iPhone games – Little Runner and Mevo & the Grooveriders. Little Runner is currently high on iTunes “Staff Favorites” and is ranked on iTunes Top 100 iPhone Games list. Mevo & the Grooveriders is currently a “What’s Hot” pick on iTunes.

Little Runner is a black-and-white doodle-style platform game with one-flick-of-a-finger gameplay, where the main character – a cute little alien figure with headphones – does not want to stop running. It is up to the player to make sure he keeps on track. The object of Little Runner is to keep the little alien, who hails from a strange race of Runners, on level ground, which is not as easy as it sounds since tall and short platform obstacles are constantly in his way. Obstacles can be raised or lowered with one flick to make sure the little runner doesn’t lose his footing.

Mevo & the Grooveriders is a synchronized music/rhythm platform game, with MEVO (short for “Musically Evolved”) as the game’s main character. Mevo’s goal is to reunite his band, the Grooveriders, and bring ‘FUNK” back to the universe. To move MEVO through the game’s fantastic world, players need to hit 2 keys to the rhythm of the game’s music, which is all original and produced in-house. The game’s music has a chill-out style, varying from organic to electronic tracks. Correctly tapping out the music as it is played and shown moves the player successfully through each level. If players miss a beat, their health meter goes down, and when the health meter runs out, the level ends.

Both games are fun and addictive to play for any level of player. More of Red Rocket Games products and information can be found at the company website, www.redrocketgames.com.
