Merren joins Virgin as development manager

Virgin Play has appointed Mike Merren as development manager of its Virgin Play and V.2Play brands.

Merren has over 20 years experience in the games industry and has held positions at Microsoft, Acclaim, Crawfish, Virgin Interactive and Climax. He was most recently responsible for negotiating Sony's exclusive games partnership with NCsoft.

"Mike first worked for me in 1992 at Virgin Games," commented Tim Chaney, president of Virgin Play. "He is a focused, dependable, skilled and straightforward individual who will add much to our evolution over the coming years."

Virgin Play is working on the game of animated film Donkey Xote as well as the official Real Madrid football games.
