Meet the bouncing duo, Wiz and Waz…

Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of interactive software, has announced an exciting new title for its mobile phone range. SolaRola is an engrossing physics-based puzzle game set within a gaudy game world and will be released in October through to November 2007.

The first of its kind for mobile phones, SolaRola introduces two cute heroes - Wiz and Waz - who are charged with bouncing their way across 25 planets using whatever comes to hand to get them from one side to the other. The pair have joined forces to thwart the plans of their nemesis Ping the Unmerciless who has kidnapped the six guardians of SolaRola's universe. Thus, the duo explore the colourful play area to recover their captured overlords and eventually defeat the evil Ping.

With each planet inhabited by all manner of enemies and natural hazards, SolaRola's clever gameplay sees the player guiding Wiz and Waz across the scrolling play area, navigating rocks, bombs, trampolines and the like to create a safe path to the end of each. Both Wiz and Waz are susceptible to the gravity of each planet, so items must be strategically placed to guide them past the many obstacles and creatures that patrol the game maps. However, as the game progresses, so the creatures get more aggressive, while the addition of volcanic worlds and razor-sharp hazards are a constant threat to the air-filled pair.

SolaRola represents a new landmark in mobile games. Its originality is matched by its stunning production values. The SolaRola universe is brought to vibrant life as the pair traverse the colourful worlds, while the intuitive control system is balanced with tough, danger-filled stages. The game also enjoys a specially-created soundtrack, with seven original songs accompanying Wiz and Waz as they attempt to restore balance to their universe.
