ME AWARDS ANOTHER RESOUNDING SUCCESS
The cream of the mobile entertainment industry celebrates at the Brewery
Wednesday 19th September 2007; 00.01am/...London. Google, EA, Nokia, Ministry Of Sound and MTV were among the winners at the second annual ME Awards last night.
Recognising innovation, creativity and the people who work in mobile content, the event attracted nearly 400 representatives from media, technology and entertainment companies around the world.
The wide range of categories covered all aspects of the mobile entertainment space, including hardware, software and B2B applications. Google won best mobile search provider, Nokia picked up the award for best handset company, EA for best games publisher and Ministry of Sound for best music label. 3 UK and Digital Chocolate scooped the awards for the second year running in the best operator and best games developer categories respectively.
The ME Awards also recognised Ralph Simon, Chairman Emeritus, MEF Americas, with the Special Achievement Award for his contribution to the mobile entertainment content industry.
The ME Awards were sponsored and supported by Nokia along with SEGA, Player X, Glu Mobile, Showcard Systems and Gamer TV.
