The London MCM Expo has announced the dates for its two events this year, and will be welcoming an expanded videogames presence to the show floor.

The show, which will encompass film, TV, anime and comics as well as videogames - and has been likened to the San Diego Comiccon in the past - will take place at Excel London on May 24-25 and October 25-26.

The event is now in its sixth year, with over 20,000 visitors expected and previous exhibitors include Take Two Interactive, Square Enix, Atari, Activision, Koei, Sega, Ubisoft and Disney, with many expected to return this year.

"The October 2007 Expo was the first for Koei and it proved to be a tremendous success. Weâll definitely be back for the next Expo in May. The superb stands, the amazing cosplay and the enthusiastic public all combine to make the expo an essential part of Koei's 2008 calendar," a company spokesperson commented.

And Ruth Leonard, of Wizkids Games, added: "London MCM Expo has consistently provided us with a cost effective marketing platform on which to promote our game lines. A family friendly event, which is a really fun way for us to showcase new products — at the same time, generating good results."

The events this year will see the return of the popular Kids Go Free feature, and more information is available on the London MCM Expo web site.
