Maximum Games signs distribution deal with Gearbox
Publisher to release Bulletstorm: Full Clip in UK and Australia
Physical games publisher Maximum Games will handle the launch of Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition in the UK and Australia.
Borderlands developer Gearbox is publishing the title both digitally and physically. It follows the launch of the firm's own dedicated publishing arm last year.
Bulletstorm was developed by Polish developer People Can Fly and released in 2011 by EA. It was critically well received, but performed poorly commercially.
Last year, People Can Fly announced plans for an improved version for PS4, PC and Xbox One, which includes additional graphical enhancements and 4K support. The partnership with Gearbox has seen Duke Nukem added to the game as a pre-order bonus.
The deal with Gearbox is good news for Maximum's UK arm - which was created last year when the firm acquired Avanquest. Avanquest had previously released the boxed versions of TellTale's titles in the UK.
"We're delighted to be working with such a new and exciting publishing partner and will leverage our retail channel expertise to maximise the physical sales of this well-known game franchise," says Steve Powell, Maximum's UK MD.
