Mass Effect 2 tops UK charts

360 SKU sells double, PC version three times original in first week

Electronic Arts' Mass Effect 2 has topped the UK charts according to data from GfK Chart-Track.

The Xbox 360 version of the game sold almost double the amount of the original, with sales of the PC version three times more in its first week. Electronic Arts announced over the weekend it had shipped over 2 million units to stores worldwide.

Although pushed into second place, Ubisoft's Just Dance still enjoyed a sales increase of 16 per cent, while Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sits at three, with a drop in sales of 3 per cent.

The only other new entry in the top ten this week is Sony and Zipper Interactive's MAG for the PlayStation 3, which makes a strong debut at number four.
