Japanese developer Nihon Falcom has agreed a new business deal with developer and publisher Marvelous Interactive that will see the two companies working together on future videogame and anime releases.
According to reports from numerous Japanese sources such as Degenki Online, Nihon Falcom will make use of Marvelous' publishing arm for new videogame titles, both in Japan and in the West.
Nihon Falcom's RPG franchises, which include Legend of Heroes and the Ys series of games, are well known in Western territories and should perfectly compliment Marvelous Interactive's product portfolio, which includes the acclaimed Harvest Moon series.
In addition, Marvelous Interactive's anime studio will be used for the creation of new movies based on both companies' existing and future projects. The companies will also jointly publish soundtracks and various merchandising products, and will work with Western publishers such as Rising Star Games to bring more Nihon Falcom titles outside of Japan.
