MapleStory Europe
1.6 million-strong user base to get an update offering new jobs, a "Mushroom Kingdom" dungeon and an Artifact Excavation Hunt.
[January 20, 2010] MapleStory Europe, the worldwide popular free-to-play MMORPG with more than 1.6million enthusiastic players in Europe alone, starts into the New Year with a big update including the 4th job advancement, a new dungeon and special event.
Starting out as a Beginner, players at MapleStory can choose from various job classes, and “advance” in their jobs once they level up and meet certain requirements. The 4th Job Advancement is available for Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief and Pirate, where ambitious players can obtain additional powerful skills, attributes and abilities.
Today’s patch also brings the new dungeon “Mushroom Kingdom”, in which players receive the mission to stop the wedding of Princess Violetta and to rescue the kingdom from greedy invaders. Another new update includes the “Artifact Excavation Hunt”, and this profoundly titled special event encourages players to collect strange, ancient treasures dropped by monsters which can be turned in for luring special reward items.
MapleStory originally launched in South Korea in April 2003 and quickly went on to become one of the most successful online games of all time, with over 95 million registered accounts across the world. MapleStory Europe launched in May 2007 and counts more than 1.6 million registered players, offering gamers in Europe the chance to play MapleStory in four different languages – English, German, Spanish and Dutch.
