Majesco expands with European hires
Publisher keen to capitalise on Zumba success
Majesco, the publisher behind surprise exercise hit Zumba Fitness, has hired two new key staff to facilitate its growth in the European market.
Emily Bryce-Williams will be the new European marketing and PR manager, with the purview of overseeing all marketing activity in Europe. Fellow new hire Jen Wilder will take up the role of publishing manager for Europe, responsible for European operations activity.
"This is a fantastic time to join Majesco," said Bryce-Williams. "They are in a huge period of growth with a clear strategic path of where they are heading and they are very focused on what needs to be achieved."
Previously, Bryce-Williams has worked at both Southpeak and 505 games. Wilder is a veteran of Codemasters and Disney.
The hires come as Majesco prepares for the marketing push for Zumba Fitness 2, partly to allow European MD Jason Dutton to focus on potential non-organic expansion. Whilst the original Zumba Fitness was published in Europe by 505, the increased headcount has allowed Majesco to take more responsibility for the sequel, sigining a distribution deal with 505.
"Both Jen and Emily come with a wealth of experience and huge passion for their respective roles and we are delighted to welcome these two talented individuals to the European team," said Dutton.
"They join us at a gripping time of growth and reinforce the company's strategic commitment to building the European business and giving it the presence it deserves in the European market."
