MAJESCO ANNOUNCES FIRST PRODUCT FOR PSP ™ HANDHELD ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
‘Advent Shadow’ Expands Mythology of Advent Trilogy with New Handheld Game
EDISON, NJ, November 22, 2004 - Majesco (OTC BB: MJSH), a provider of diversified products and content for digital entertainment platforms, today announced Advent Shadow, its first title for the forthcoming PSP TM handheld entertainment system. Written and directed by the creators of the Advent Trilogy and developed by Full Fat, Advent Shadow is an entirely new game designed exclusively for the PSP system and scheduled for release in 2005.
"The technical capabilities of the PSP system allow us to deliver to a handheld device, the cinematic experience that embodies the Advent Trilogy," said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing for Majesco. "We believe Advent Shadow being one of the first offerings for the PSP system gives us an advantage to succeed and grow with the platform."
Advent Shadow chronicles the gripping story of Marin Steel, a mercenary pilot thrust into a saga of intergalactic proportions. In the midst of extracting herself from a hostile negotiation, Marin is interrupted by a planetary invasion led by monstrous aliens bent on human genocide. In her efforts to escape the dying world, she encounters young Gideon Wyeth, the unlikely protagonist of Advent Rising, and together they find themselves swept up in a massive struggle against dire forces bent on the destruction of humanity.
"Advent Shadow allows us to further develop the character of 'Marin' through a completely new experience set in the same universe, but completely separate from the Advent Trilogy," said Donald Mustard, creator of the Advent Trilogy. "We've utilized the same themes and elements to expand upon some of the sub-plots of the trilogy and added compelling new game play to create a truly unique handheld experience."
