Flash-based strategic RPG currently accepting closed beta registrations.

Hamburg, March 10, 2011 – Today gamigo announced the strategic browser-based role-playing game Magic Campus. The Flash-based game can be played entirely in the browser window but still offers a gameplay experience akin to that of any client-based game. In exciting turn-based battles like the kind we know and and love from Japanese role-playing games, players can even call on companions they have caught for assistance.

While out exploring the world, almost every creature can be caught, tamed and added to one's group. In addition to the unique graphics style, these companions are one of the highlights of the game: They have unique skills and can be trained by the player, equipped and made into even better fighters.

120 levels, a multi-tiered crafting and enhancement system, a wealth of skills, a lively economy, thousands of quests and nearly 650 different companions all combined to give the game a rich depth. RPG fans will feel right at home in the complex gameplay of Magic Campus. The mentor system, in which experienced players help new players get started, as well as many help pages and community features make finding one's way into the game easy.

Patrick Streppel, Executive Board Member at gamigo, said this: "The days of static browser games are over: Instead the trend calls for vibrant online worlds with thousands of players that can run on computers, tablets or cell phones without having to install anything. Magic Campus also shows that, just because a browser game is easy to get started playing, it doesn't necessarily lack the complexity of an RPG."
