Mac Games and More Releases a Free Game, Antigen
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 3, 2006 - Macgamesandmore.com has announced the release of a new game called, "Antigen" developed for both Mac and PC. Antigen is a free game declared under a Creative Commons License.
With the classic, "old school" shoot 'em up (shmup) games in mind, Antigen requires players to use typical key controls to battle the unlimited number of levels in this fast-paced action game for the die-hard traditionalists.
Antigen takes a player into a world of germs, viruses, bacteria and toxins that are attempting to destroy the ship of the player. The player's mission is to annihilate these villainous substances in order to survive and continue on to what will hopefully be a long journey.
With the help of a radar minimap at the bottom of the screen, players will have an overview of the enemies approaching the ship. Additionally, there is a running count located at the bottom left of the screen that will indicate three items: 1) which wave is being played; 2) how many enemies are left; and, 3) how many lives are remaining. Sometimes and oftentimes unexpectedly, certain viruses will throw bonuses at the players to collect. The player must then use these bonuses to his advantage.
The graphics showcase hard, metallic edges juxtaposed against soft, drippy germs, while the audio backdrop to Antigen adds to the fast-moving atmosphere within the game play featuring three quick-tempo rock tracks.
Antigen is free of charge and available to download at the Mac Games and More website.
