Looking for Group Expo

Istaria creators Virtrium to host a developer session.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Minneapolis, MN – May 11, 2010 – Last Straw Productions announced today the first developer session at the Looking For Group Expo. Hosted by Virtrium, creators of the MMO Istaria: Chronicles of the Gifted, this session is the first of many to let attendees into the world of MMO development. The expo will serve as a discussion platform for a variety of player and guild debates ranging from game content, player vs. player gameplay, how communities around games are established and fostered, and many others.

“Not only will LFGX provide a lot of fun and competitive content for player and guild audiences, but a way for them to give valuable feedback to the developers of the games they play.” says Last Straw CEO Jonathon Stevens. “These developer sessions provide a complete way to get the most of your experience from LFGX.”

Chronicles of the Gifted is a niche game in a world of MMO's both large and small. Developed originally by Artifact Entertainment, the game has seen many changes over its 6 and a half year lifespan. Though the current independent studio, Virtrium, has only been "in charge" of the game about half of that time, they've made major changes that have both changed and improved the game over those years. Current producer and designer Heather "Velea" Rothwell will lead a panel discussion about those changes, how the team has balanced improving existing content while introducing new features, and the direction the team is taking Istaria in the future.

Looking For Group Expo is also partnering with several sites on social networking platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, to offer discounts of nearly 50% off the standard registration rate. Player, Guild, and VIP options are available. To register for the expo and obtain these limited-time offers, please visit the official LFGX website at www.lfgexpo.com.
