Tekken 6, Ghostbusters, Katamari Forever, Tales of Symphonia and Magna Carta 2 among titles on display at Excel in October.

24-25 OCTOBER – EXCEL LONDON – ROYAL VICTORIA DOCK

London MCM Expo is set to provide the grand opening for this year’s London Games Festival, the capital’s celebration of the best in videogame culture. Held at Excel on 24-25 October, the Expo will be a gamers’ feast, with top developers from across the globe giving visitors hands-on experience with the hottest new games as well as sneak peeks at their latest projects – often months in advance of their official release.

Be among the first to get hands on with the amazing ‘Tekken 6’, the latest incarnation of Bandai Namco’s legendary fighter. Other titles include ‘Ghostbusters’, ‘Katamari Forever’ and a pair of smoking hot JRPGs, ‘Tales of Symphonia’ and ‘Magna Carta 2’, not to mention a slew of anime-inspired games such as ‘Dragonball: Raging Blast’, ‘Dragonball: Revenge of King Piccolo’ and ‘One Piece: Unlimited Cruise’ 1 and 2.

All hail Ubisoft, who are giving gamers some quality time with acrobatic assassin Ezio – star of the eagerly-awaited ‘Assassin’s Creed 2’ – as he ventures into the dark heart of Renaissance Italy. Also among the playable titles at Ubisoft’s stand will be ‘Rabbids Go Home’, a brand new comedy adventure starring the troublesome bunnies.

‘Monster Hunter Tri’ may not be hitting shelves until early 2010, but Capcom has announced that gamers at the Expo will get the chance to go mano-a-mano with the prehistoric horrors that populate the latest in their hit Monster Hunter series. And if that’s not exciting enough, the Japanese videogame giant has confirmed that ‘Tatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars’ will also be playable at the show.

Meanwhile, SEGA is giving fans the chance to get up close and personal with ‘Bayonetta’, a fast-paced action shooter from the creators of ‘Devil May Cry’ and ‘Resident Evil’. Step into the killer heels of the eponymous heroine to lay the hurt on the bad guys with extravagant weaponry, over-the-top moves and… demonic hair?

Get to grips with acclaimed platform puzzler ‘Scribblenauts’ courtesy of Warner Bros. Games. The winner of no fewer than 35 awards at E3, the Nintendo DS game boasts a stunningly original gameplay concept that sees players summoning any object they can think of to help hero Maxwell traverse 200+ levels.

Other big names with exciting new titles to announce include Activision; EA; Koei Tecmo; Nippon Ichi; Rising Star and 2K, so keep an eye out for more breaking news. With so much on show, the London MCM Expo is an event no gamer can miss!
