LittleBigPlanet sweeps up AIAS award nominations
Media Molecule's title named ten times among nominees announced for 29 categories
The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has announced the nominees for the 2009 Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, with Sony's LittleBigPlanet scooping up 10 nominations.
The awards ceremony, set to take place during the DICE Summit on February 19, will be hosted by comedian Jay Mohr. Among the nominated games are Left 4 Dead, Fable 2, Mirror's Edge and Fallout 3.
"This was an exciting year for games," said Joseph Olin, president, AIAS.
"The depth of talent and creativity in this industry continues to amaze me and we are honoured to highlight some of the most impressive games of the year at the Interactive Achievement Awards. The 2009 nominees indeed reflect a stronghold of talent embodying the best and brightest in this field."
