Lightning Fish Games 8th of June 2010

Lightning Fish Games is joining forces with Quickstart Global to turn its ambitious growth plans into reality. The expanding games developer has just announced the opening of a new development studio at the Quickstart Global Pune client centre, with 20 new staff expected within the next 6 months.

The new studio will support the core development teams in the UK, as Lightning Fish expands into a multi-format and multi-project studio. The company, who specialise in family-oriented games based on motion tracking technology, has also seen accelerated growth rates in the UK with no signs of slowing down. Since setting up less than 2 years ago, its head count has risen to forty.

Simon Prytherch, CEO of Lightning Fish, commented: "When we started Lightning Fish we planned to be a dominant force in the development of motion tracking games. We also wanted to build the capability to develop three titles simultaneously. 2010 is the year that we achieve both these goals. The Pune studio is crucial to these plans".

Neal Gandhi, CEO of Quickstart Global added “Our In-House Anywhere model was set up to enable companies such as Lightning Fish to access global talent without the headaches involved in setting up their own operation overseas. We understand just how important it is for Games studios to have their own staff working under their direction and look forward to supporting Lightning Fish to grow their team and achieve their goals.”
