Law & Order: Criminal Intent 2 - Dark Obsession now available on popular online gaming sites.
Los Angeles, CA, December 4, 2006 -- Legacy Interactive announced today that its second downloadable game based on the television franchise, Law & Order Criminal Intent: Dark Obsession, is now available on www.legacygames.com and www.bigfishgames.com. The game is developed through a licensing agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group.
The world of the hit television show "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" comes to life on the PC as players take on the role of Detective Robert Goren to investigate a murder case. In Dark Obsession, the second episode of a four-part series, players scour the crime scenes for evidence, interview witnesses and interrogate suspects in hopes of tracking down the elusive killer. With beautifully rendered graphics and voices and likeness from members of the show's cast, this thrilling third-person mystery/adventure game will have players feeling like they've stepped into an actual episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." And while players may think they have solved the second case, this dark and sinister tale isn't completely solved until the fourth and final murder. Based on customer feedback to the first episode in the series, The Vengeful Heart, this new episode includes the following enhancements:
The game saves automatically, regardless of where you are in the game, thus ensuring that game progress is never lost.
Each time a choice is made in the game, a global game score is calculated. This encourages game players to play the case more than once, in order to improve their score.
In the first episode, there were extensive hints available at every step in the game. In the second episode, there are just as many hints, except now there are three levels of each hint, thus ensuring that customers will only get as much information as they need and no more. The number and types of hints selected affects the global game score.
The game features celebrity voiceovers from "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" stars Vincent D'Onofrio (Det. Goren) and Jamey Sheridan (Capt. Deakins). You control Det. Goren's movements throughout the highly detailed environments as well as direct his unique and psychological interrogation techniques. Creative and innovative puzzles are fully integrated into the storylines.
Dark Obsession is available as a "try before you buy" downloadable game on Legacy's game portal, at www.legacygames.com. The game is also available through Big Fish Games, www.bigfishgames.com. For more information on all four episodes, log on to www.cigame.com.
