Launch Of Enterprising Games Week: London, 27-28th June
Unique week of events focused on games, virtual worlds incl. Second Life, Web 2.0 & AI across serious games, film, TV & outdoor experience market – plus what's new for games AI
24th April, 2007
Gets full backing from ANGILS and partners Serious Games Institute & South East Media Network + great support from speakers Peter Molyneux and Cisco Systems Inc. and speakers from China
Enterprising Games Week was devised by Apply Group and ANGILS to meet the demands of both expert practitioners who deliver their services across industry sectors and the client communities wanting to use AI, virtual worlds, games and Web 2.0 to produce ground-breaking outcomes in brand extension, learning immersion and unique creative outcomes (e.g. realizing new IP supported by new platforms, more realistic avartar behaviours or exciting augmented reality in the world's largest theme parks, currently being built in Dubai, China, Korea and other parts of the world).
Martine Parry, Founding Director of ANGILS and production director of Apply Group - the production company behind the events said: "With 2 conferences and 2 masterclasses across 2 days, focused on the key issues, coupled with the quality of our speakers, Enterprising Games Week is the right one-stop forum to learn about what can be achieved whilst networking for business.
"We chose topics that we know are important to the digital content industries: AI for games and VFX in terms of more realistic avatar behaviours coupled with the increasing need for handling large audience behaviours in virtual worlds and MMOs; outdoor experiences as the investment and opportunity in this area is huge for augmented reality; serious games as they are increasingly important to organizational learning, marketing and awareness - and virtual worlds with Web 2.0 because you can test anything in them with an existing audience in place - including releasing new games and animations, extending your brand, experimenting with new product design, refining human factors where human error produces disaster - or simulate climate change! We listened to our audience and they say: Job well done!"
Enterprising Games Week runs 27 - 28TH June, 2007 in London at RIBA in Portland Place. Early Bird ends 21st May. Events: Apply Serious Games 2007, Apply AI Innovations 2007 + 2 masterclasses: Web 2.0 & Exploiting Second Life. There are limited numbers of passes for those who want to access all areas and for attending both conferences. The pricing is very reasonable and the structure makes sense - providing a single pass for as much as possible depending on capacity restrictions across both days. More www.enterprising-games.com
