Games publisher Kwari has announced that it is to launch a new online multiplayer gaming service that will allow users to compete for cash.

The game, which will also be called Kwari, will be free-to-download, although the company will charge for the purchase of in-game ammunition.

Players will subsequently be able to enter skill-ranked matches with pre-determined stakes ranging from USD 0.01 to USD 1.

The matches will span four rounds, and money is transferred each time one player hits an opponent, on a similar level to the degradation of a health bar — meaning that incremental transfers of the original stake are taking place constantly.

Jackpots will also be available, fed by self-inflicted damage, and the total amount of cash that players put into the game will be available through winnings.

Sign-ups for the beta test are currently open, with the commercial release planned for some time before the end of the year.
