Kotick to keynote DICE 2010
Activision head confirmed for February Las Vegas industry event
Activision CEO Bobby Kotick is to keynote this year's DICE Summit to be held in Last Vegas in February.
The exec will talk about how creative talent drives the videogame industry drawing on his own experiences from taking over Activision and, in 2008, the company's merger with Blizzard.
Since taking control of the then-insolvent company, Kotick has overseen a series of studio acquisitions, licensing agreements and seeking out of new development talent, turning Activision's fortunes around to become the second biggest independent games developer in the world in 2007.
"Bobby Kotick has believed in the power of interactive entertainment his entire career," said Joseph Olin, president of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

The DICE Summit, also the home of the 13th annual Interactive Achievement Awards, takes place at Red Rock Resort, Las Vegas on February 19. Registration is open until midnight on January 29.
