Korean publisher Nowcom acquired by ex-Wemade CEO

SooKil Seo leads acquisition of 21.8 per cent of Nowcom stock

The former CEO of Wemade Entertainment has led the acquisition of Korean online publisher Nowcom.

According to a report on This Is Game, SooKil Seo, who resigned from Wemade Entertainment four months ago, orchestrated the bid at his new company, Saint International.

The deal is for 21.8 per cent of Nowcom's total shares, making Saint International the majority shareholder in the company.

Nowcom was founded in 1994 as an IT company, but now operates the popular online racing game TalesRunner and casual music game O2Jam.

Seo has stated his intention to grow Nowcom's portfolio of games, and expand its operations globally using its Afreeca TV media platform.
