Kontagent tracking one in six Facebook users
Social analytic platform keeping tabs on over 100 million people on network
Social metric gatherer Kontagent has revealed that it is tracking over 100 million users on Facebook, one in every six people using the social network.
The company provides app developers with user data including geographic location, age, gender, engagement times and social event interaction, allowing them to track usage and target players more accurately. Kontagent was one the five winners of a $225,000 grant from the Facebook run fbFund in 2008, raising $6 million in investment at a later date.
The recent release of the company's second generation platform has accelerated its growth massively, jumping the company from 70 million users in October to 100 million today. Several major publishers use Kontagent's services, including Ubisoft, EA and Sony.
