LOS ANGELES - Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) Booth #800 - May 17, 2005 - Konami Digital Entertainment - America, a division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced the next installment in its critically acclaimed Metal Gear series, Metal Gear Ac!d 2 for the PlayStation®Portable (PSPTM) handheld entertainment system of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. ( SCEI ). The Metal Gear Ac!d series combines the world of the Metal Gear Solid series with an intellectually-driven, tactical stealth card game. Players use action and weapon cards to guide Solid Snake through a barrage of missions while utilizing strategic thinking and planned out tactical maneuvers to accomplish the mission objectives. Through Metal Gear Ac!d 2's unique card-based game design, it leverages the portability of the PSPTM and provides gamers with a classic Metal Gear experience whenever and wherever they choose.

Created by Kojima Productions and headed by the world-renowned game creator Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Ac!d 2 incorporates a completely new graphics engine which provides innovative on-screen imagery. The game features brighter, more colorful, comic book-style visuals, which dynamically enhance the impact of the card effects. In addition, all-new action scenes have been added to the gameplay, providing even more exhilaration and suspense to the game. The completely original story fuses the rich world of the Metal Gear series with Acid's exclusive gameplay mechanics. Metal Gear Ac!d 2 delivers more than twice the adventure and strategy experience compared to the previous release.
Ac!d x Ac!d = Metal Gear Ac!d 2To help first-time players familiarize themselves with the world of Metal Gear Ac!d, a new tutorial stage has been added, including a hands-on introduction to the extensive card system and other gameplay elements.
