Kojima promoted to vice president at Konami Digital
Metal Gear Solid creator makes corporate officer alongside PES producer Shinji Enomoto
Konami has undergone something of a reshuffle, with several veteran producers promoted to new corporate officer positions within the company.
Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima is now a vice president, as is Pro Evolution Soccer producer Shinji Enomoto.
Mineaki Yoshiba, Yasuyuki Yamaji and Kazuyuki Kisohara have become directors, while Kazuhiko Uehera will become CEO of new Konami acquisition Hudsonsoft.
The announcement should not affect Kojima's hands-on time with his Kojima Productions projects, but could afford him more clout and creative freedom at the publisher. Currently, he is working on Metal Gear Solid: Rising and an unannounced NGP game.
