Kayak and Synergix rebrand as Blaze

US and European operations forge new moniker

With consolidation of their operations now complete, Californian firm Kayak Interactive and its wholly-owned European subsidiary Synergix Interactive, along with the recently purchased mobile game publisher Chasma, have rebranded themselves as Blaze.

"Blaze represents the culmination of three mobile game pioneers," said Keith McCurdy, president and CEO of Blaze. "As the mobile game market continues to expand rapidly, we believe it is critical to step forward with a strong, united identity that resonates with consumers as well as licensing and distribution partners."

Blaze now intends to build on its portfolio of titles, with four Da Vinci Code games and additional MTV and VH-1 branded content due in 2006. The company released a wide range of content last year, with titles including Conflict: Global Storm, Carmageddon, Guinness World Records and Poker Superstars Hold 'Em.

Blaze will continue to maintain European offices in Stockholm and London, while the company headquarters will remain in San Mateo, California.
