Player-inspired update to be released, with Mining and Fishing on the way too.
Seoul, Korea –Friday, September 11th, 2009 – NHN has confirmed that many changes are being made to their upcoming MMORPG Karos Online in response to feedback from European players. They expect the changes to be very well received, and more details will be revealed shortly. Today, more information has been released about Mining and Fishing in the game, and players can experience these in the next Closed Beta Weekend event. Beta signup is now open at www.karosgame.com, and dates for thenext Weekend event will be confirmed very soon. Players possessing an access code for any Closed Beta Weekend also have free access to future ones. Karos Online is scheduled to be released in English during Q4 2009, with versions in German and Turkish to follow later.
In Karos Online, Mining and Fishing are key activities that enable players to gather components they can use to craft items.
Once trained in Fishing, players can use fishing rods to fish in dedicated bodies of water in the world of Asmara. A variety of fish can be caught that may be sold to merchants, used as crafting ingredients or traded to the Fishmonger NPC in return for a chance to win special and Fletta Gem items through a lottery system.
Armed with Mining picks, players can dig in designated areas to find many different ores and gems that can be sold to vendors or used to craft weapons, armour and other items. Fletta Gem Shards can also be mined and used for crafting powerful Fletta Gem items that evolve with your character. The mine areas are also central to guild-vs-guild PvP, and subject to weekly takeovers by enterprising guilds.
Karos Online - Stunning 3D Action Fantasy MMORPG
Karos Online ( http://www.karosgame.com) is a brand new free-to-play fantasy MMORPG developed by Galaxy Gate (lead developers of Laghaim and Last Chaos), to be published by NHN. An English release is scheduled for Q4 2009, with German and Turkish versions to follow.
