Kai Hitzer appointment
Joins FISHLABS as marketing director.

Hamburg, Germany, 06 June 2010 – Effective immediately, the lawyer Kai Hitzer (36) will take on the newly created position of marketing director with the independent, Hamburg-based developer and publisher FISHLABS, thus taking the pressure off of the management. In this function, he will also be responsible for the B2B presence, which will highlight the success in the area of ad games for a variety of clients, such as Volkswagen and Barclaycard, customer value, and the challenges in mobile marketing. Furthermore, Hitzer will also take on communication with the hardcore fans and the mobile gaming industry via Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks.
Hitzer gained his experience in international marketing with Red Bull and, for the last five years, has managed a yoga studio for Kalarippayat, a form of yoga with elements of Indian martial arts. There he was responsible for, among other things, the development of the ‘guerilla yoga’ concept, a charity campaign with the motto ‘Yoga conquering new spaces’.
Along with his professional qualifications, Hitzer’s passion for multi-player and (online) role playing games was a decisive factor, since his experiences in a variety of games, such as Dungeons & Dragons, Everquest Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Halo, Gears of War, and Call of Duty will be integrated into the design of future projects from the Hamburg-based development studio.
