Just Dance holds onto UK chart top spot
Ubisoft title holds number 1 position; Battlefield: Bad Company is number 2
Ubisoft's Just Dance has taken the number one position in the UK chart for another week after seeing the lowest drop off in sales of any game in the top 20.
Its achievement means that Ubisoft has now held the number one spot in the charts for longer than any other publisher this year - a total of four weeks, compared to three weeks for Sony and two for Square Enix.
The rhythm game has also consistently been the biggest-selling Wii title every week throughout 2010, except for week one, when Wii Fit Plus took the accolade.
It is also now the third biggest-selling third-party Wii game to date in the UK, following behind SEGA's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and Take 2's Carnival Funfair Games.
All of the game in the top 40 saw a decrease in sales on the previous week, but Just Dance experienced the lowest decrease - just 7 per cent - of all of the chart's top 20.
Elsewhere in the top 10, EA's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 climbed one place to number two, knocking Just Cause 2 to number three.
There were no new releases in the top 40 throughout the week.
However one key release - Splinter Cell: Conviction - next week should change that, as well as potentially give Ubisoft its fifth week at number one.
The UK top ten for the week ending April 10 was as follows:
- 01 Just Dance
- 02 Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- 03 Just Cause 2
- 04 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
- 05 Wii Sports Resort
- 06 Wii Fit Plus
- 07 Pokemon SoulSilver
- 08 FIFA 10
- 09 Pokemon HeartGold
- 10 New Super Mario Bros Wii
