Joseph Olin to step down from AIAS
DICE organiser replaces 6-year vet with Martin Rae
The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has announced that Joseph Olin is to step down from his role as president after six years.
Since Olin joined the Academy, it has grown from a membership of 3000 to 20,000, and established the DICE Summit as the leading US conference for games executives.
Olin will work with the AIAS until the end of the year, and is to be replaced with Martin Rae, who has held executive positions at companies such as Sunleaf Studios, Pandanda.com and Boss Games Studios.
"After a careful and thorough selection process we feel that the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences will be under good hands with Martin," commented Jay Cohen, AIAS chairman and president of development at Jerry Bruckheimer Games.
"The Academy truly appreciates the passion and dedication that Joseph brought to the organisation for so many years. The positive momentum that the organisation enjoys today is a result of his team's efforts."
Registration for next year's DICE Summit have just gone live.
