Jonas "bESEL" Vikan Joins CGS as Team Manager for Berlin

Championship Gaming SeriesTM (CGS), the only worldwide professional gaming league, announced today that Jonas "bESEL" Vikan is the new Team Manager of the Berlin team. Jonas is the fourth Team Manager named this year in CGS Region 3 (which includes Europe and the UK); the other three include former Counter-Strike superstar Emil "HeatoN" Christensen (Stockholm), Sujoy Roy (London), the first professional gamer in the United Kingdom, and long-time successful gaming proprietor Michael "ODEE" O'Dell (Birmingham).

Jonas "bESEL" Vikan joins CGS with an extensive background in professional gaming, highlighted by his leadership roles in launching and shaping several of the most-talented Counter-Strike teams in the world, including MIBR, NoA and Catch-Gamer. Jonas is also an established pro gaming journalist and his commentary and analysis is published in numerous magazines and websites throughout the world.

The CGS European and UK Qualifiers will both be held from 20th - 23rd September in Birmingham at Omega Sektor. Sign-ups to participate in the Qualifiers will be on a "first-come, first-serve" basis at http://www.thecgs.com. Combined total prize money totals $84,000.

The teams selected to represent Berlin, Stockholm, London, and Birmingham will receive professional gaming contracts and be flown to the CGS World Championship in Los Angeles, flights and lodging paid, for 3 weeks of competition as teams battle for their share of an unprecedented single-event total prize purse of $1,000,000, with $500,000 going to the top team. The CGS World Championship will be televised on five continents.
