John Kroeger joins Red Redemption Advisory Board
Red Redemption the world leader in ethical on-line games is delighted to announce that John Kroeger has joined its advisory board. Mr Kroeger was co-head of the UK Government team of Business Relations Managers to the Computer Games Industry for the then Department of Trade and Industry, until June this year. He was a senior executive for Reuters Ltd in variously Denmark, Sweden and the UK for nearly twenty tears, including a period of secondment to the DTI during which he produced an Action Plan for Growth for the Digital Content Sector which led to the creation of the Digital Content Forum. It was during the creation of this plan that Mr Kroeger was also able to convice the UK government of the importance of the UK games sector and to develop ways for the government to engage with that sector.
Mr Kroeger who runs his own consultancy KroLic Co. Ltd, is a naturalised UK citizen. He was born in the USA and studied Fine Arts at Boston University where he received a BFA for sculpture. He has lived in 6 countries since 1976, but looks forward to moving to his home in the Lyon suburb of St Didier, Mont d' Or when he retires where one of his main pursuits will be to learn to speak French.

Red Redemption is partnered with the Environmental Change Institute of Oxford University and the UK Department of the Environment and is fortunate enough to have Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) scientists as games advisors, and to further ensure scientific rigor, Red Redemption has a fulltime in-house climate scientist. The company follow up all of its projects with in depth research on their effectiveness, for example a MSc master's thesis was produced by the Oxford University Environmental Change Institute examining the effectiveness of Red Redemption's Climate Challenge game.
