Jingle Jam 2017 raises record-breaking $3m for charity

Funds raised will be divided between eight charities

The annual Yogscast Jingle Jam has returned for 2017 and is already smashing records.

Working with digital storefront Humble Bundle, Jingle Jam has already raised over $3.1 million, breezing past last year's total of $2.57 million, and with 25 days still to go.

Over at the Humble store, you can get an estimated $847 worth of games and soundtracks for no more than $35, with 100% of proceeds going to charity.

The charities benefiting from this year's drive are Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal, Special Effect, the Whale and Dolphin Conservation, the Mental Health Foundation, Save the Children, Cancer Research, Charity: Water, and the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Intersex Association.

Anyone who donates $5 or more will get a shoutout on the Yogscast stream, plus Team Fortress 2 badges, and 10% off Humble Monthly for new subscribers.

Those who donate over $35 will receive the full collection of games which include Rust, QUBE: Director's Cut, Gunpoint, Guild Wars 2: Heroic Edition, and the Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Beta, among many others that have yet to be announced.

New games will be unlocked every day this month and so far there have been over 88,000 donations, with some giving as much as $5,000.
