Stockholm, Sweden
Swedish game developer Jadestone today announced the launch
of the online game "Drømmelaget" in co-operation with
Norway's largest online newspaper VG Multimedia, a subsidiary
of Verdens Gang (VG), Norway's largest newspaper, and a part
of Schibsted ASA. The game is the first to launch
internationally after last week's announcement of an initial
three-year agreement with Schibsted-owned Aftonbladet,
Sweden's largest newspaper.
Following last weeks launch of the online game Drömelvan with
Aftonbladet in Sweden, Jadestone now announce the release of
the football management simulation, "Drømmelaget" (The Dream
Team) in Norway, together with Verdens Gang.
- Jadestone has a long experience of online sports games and
we are very happy to co-operate with Verdens Gang on
Drømmelaget, said Tobias Nissen, business development
director at Jadestone. Our intention is to bring out the best
possible entertainment on a global market and that Norway's
largest newspaper chooses to work with us, is of course a
significant recognition.
Said Thomas Manus Hønningstad, project manager, VG
Multimedia
- In Sweden Drömelvan has been incredibly successful and we
are convinced that Drømmelaget will be equally appreciated
here. Jadestone's long experience from not only developing
online games but football management games in particular,
will ensure that Norway's budding football coaches have a
busy time ahead.
VG Multimedia is the publisher of VG Nett, VG Mobile and VGTV, and a subsidiary of Verdens Gang, Norway's largest newspaper, part of Schibsted ASA. VG Nett (www.vg.no) is the largest online newspaper in Norway with more than 1.1 million daily readers.
