BioWare announces release of the original soundtrack CD for the Xbox video game Jade Empire™

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada, June 17, 2005 - BioWare is excited to announce that in partnership with Sumthing Else Music Works, Inc., (www.sumthing.com) and Microsoft Game Studios, the music of Jade EmpireTM is now available on soundtrack. Jade EmpireTM is the critically acclaimed action-RPG developed by BioWare and published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox. Award-winning composer Jack Wall created the original music for Jade EmpireTM, and it is now available on this highly anticipated soundtrack. The Jade EmpireTM: Original Game Soundtrack is offered online at the BioWare store (http://store.bioware.com) and Amazon.com, as well as in select retail outlets of Tower Records, Virgin Mega Stores, Best Buy, Fry's Electronics and more.

The critically acclaimed Jade EmpireTM soundtrack was arranged and composed by Jack Wall (www.jackwall.net). As an industry award-winning composer/producer, Jack Wall's credits include Myst IV: Revelation, Myst III: Exile, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (cinematic music), Dungeon Siege II (promotional trailers), Rise of the Kasai, and Wrath Unleashed.

Created by the award-winning development team at BioWare, Jade EmpireTM allows players to master dozens of martial arts fighting styles and mystical powers that match the awesome spectacle of Hong Kong action movies. The game features a deep, rich story in the tradition of BioWare, which recently developed Star Wars®: Knights of the Old RepublicTM. Players can train under their master's watchful eye to learn powerful martial arts and mystical powers. When danger threatens, players will travel across the world, from the harsh mountains of the Land of Howling Spirits to the lush gardens of the Imperial City. Award winning record producer Nile Rodgers is one of the most prolific music producers in history. Records produced by Nile Rodgers have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.
