Insomniac Games, the company behind Ratchet & Clank and Resistance: Fall of Man, has been named in the list of the "50 Best Small & Medium Sized Companies to Work for in America."
The rankings are published annually by the Society for Human Resource Management and were recently announced at its 59th annual conference and exposition in Las Vegas. Insomniac is the only company in the history of the small business category to earn a Top 10 ranking for three straight years, and it remains the first and only videogames developer included on the list.
âLast year was among the most challenging in Insomniacâs history as we prepared to release Resistance: Fall of Man worldwide with the launch of PlayStation 3,â said Ted Price, Insomniac Gamesâ founder and CEO.
âYet we delivered a top-rated and top-selling game - on time - while retaining our top 10 ranking as one of the best small companies to work for in America. Therefore, itâs especially gratifying to demonstrate again that itâs possible in the games industry to achieve excellent results while maintaining a collaborative and stimulating workplace culture.â
Insomniac, ranked 8th in the small companies category, is the only company in the âTV, Film and Videoâ category to be recognised this year.
