InfoSpace Mobile Names John Chasey VP European Operations

Tuesday 3 May 2005/... InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ:INSP) today announced that it has appointed Mr. John Chasey as vice president of European operations for InfoSpace Mobile. In this role, Chasey will lead a team to expand the European market for the InfoSpace Mobile portfolio.

"I am thrilled to have a leader of his caliber and stature in the industry playing such an important role in our organisation", said Steve Elfman, vice president, mobile operations.

Chasey brings 13 years of game development management to InfoSpace. He most recently served as managing director for IOMO, with responsibility for global operations. IOMO, formerly IO Productions, was founded by Chasey in 2000 and was acquired by InfoSpace in December 2004. At IOMO, Chasey built the organisation by creating more than 80 innovative, award-winning games and developing distribution agreements through major mobile operators and handset manufacturers throughout Europe. The studio has been named "Best Mobile Studio" for the last two years in the Develop Industry Excellence Awards.

"InfoSpace has a tremendous opportunity before it in mobile gaming in Europe and abroad," said Chasey. "The Company excels in investing in the right assets, technologies and relationships. I'm looking forward to building InfoSpace's games position and taking it to the next level."

Prior to IO productions, Chasey spent five years in technical and general management at SCi Entertainment plc. During this period he signed new developer Stainless Software to SCi and was co-producer of their debut title Carmageddon, which won the PC Zone "Driving Game of the Year" and "Game of the Year" 1997 awards.

Chasey currently serves on the TIGA board - The Independent Game Developers' Association - and is the board representative for the TIGA Mobile special interest group. He also currently sits on the BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Committee and was a member of the Nokia Games Advisory council.
