Infospace announces FPR Superbikes
Superbike legend Carl Foggerty puts his name to mobile gaming
Infospace has announced the development of FPR Superbikes, a new mobile game based on racing legend and FPR racing team owner Carl Foggerty, which will be available throughout Europe later this month.
Fine-tuning the high speed adrenaline kick of Superbike racing into a simple and intuitive control system designed specifically for the mobile platform, FPR Superbikes features circuits from Europe, North America and Asia, offering quick races, time trials or a full 12-race championship season.
More experienced players can increase their odds of completing the laps in the fastest time with a comprehensive tuning system, allowing them to adjust the bike settings for maximum speed and manoeuvrability.
Carl Fogarty, World Superbike champion and owner of Foggy Petronas Racing, commented: "The FPR Superbikes game gives fans worldwide a chance to take part and compete along with the team. It's a whole new way for racing fans and gamers to enjoy the sport and they can take it with them wherever they go. I think InfoSpace has done a great job with the game. My team works hard to connect with fans and the FPR Superbikes game takes this to a whole new level."
The game will be promoted by InfoSpace with a series of competitions with mobile network operators and several of Europe's leading online and print publications, allowing consumers the chance to sample the game and potentially pick up prizes including limited edition Foggy Petronas racing gear and exclusive passes to forthcoming Superbike events.
"Superbike racing is growing in popularity all around the world, and we think fans will embrace the agile game play and exciting features of our FPR Superbikes mobile game," added Alan Welsman, vice president of mobile media at InfoSpace. "The opportunity to work with Carl Fogarty and Foggy Petronas Racing really brought the game to life. The development team has done a terrific job creating a fantastic looking game that really plays well."
