Infogrames shares suspended

Infogrames has had its shares on the French stock market in Paris suspended.

In a short statement, the company has stated: "Infogrames Entertainment has asked Euronext to temporarily suspend trading in all the Company's securities, in anticipation of a press release announcing the Group's debt restructuring plan."

Atari most recently posted a fiscal quarter loss of US$7.1 million in August, an improvement over the US$32.8 million for the same period last year.

Earlier this month, the US division of Atari vowed to fight being delisted from the NASDAQ stock market for being unable to comply with a requirement to maintain a US$1 per share for a minimum of ten days.

Atari has also been selling its assets in a bid to raise capital, most recently selling developer Reflections and the Driver assets to Ubisoft for USD$24 million.
