Just days after Infogrames' application for a loan extension was approved, the company has announced that it has dismissed chief financial officer Thierry Detloff with immediate effect.
Detloff began his trial period as CFO last November, and was responsible for developing a global management and internal control system designed to help the troubled company improve its financial fortunes. Infogrames declined to give a reason for his dismissal.
Infogrames intends to use the extra time it has been given to repay the loans to carry out financial restructuring. The company, which has failed to turn a profit since 1999, recently confirmed plans to put Atari's internal development studios up for sale.
