In2Games Announces RealPlay Wireless Gaming Range For PlayStation 2
Six unique games - each with a wireless controller - to be available on PlayStation 2 for Christmas, rrp £29.99.
Friday 17th August/...IN2Games, the pioneering developer of motion-sensing gaming technology, will unveil its new range of wireless games for PlayStation®2 at next week's Leipzig Gaming Convention.
Available in time for Christmas, each title in the REALPLAY range of videogames will retail with a unique wireless controller, bringing wireless motion sensing gaming to the PlayStation®2 for the very first time.
The REALPLAY range is a family-friendly collection of games, retailing for an expected £29.99. Each wireless peripheral has been designed not just to provide intuitive motion-sensing control, but to enhance the overall gaming experience as well.
REALPLAY Tennis comes with a wireless tennis racket, which will detect every serve, smash, volley and lob. REALPLAY Pool comes with its own cue, enabling potting precision within its many variations of pool and snooker. REALPLAY Golf is packaged with a wireless club to register every drive, chip, hook and slice. REALPLAY Racing comes with a steering wheel for the complete wireless racing experience. REALPLAY Bowling arrives with an actual wireless bowling ball. Whilst REALPLAY Puzzlesphere introduces a new concept of party game as players manipulate a physical sphere around vertigo-inducing courses.
"The REALPLAY range of games is aimed squarely at those PlayStation®2 owners who want to play wireless motion-sensing games without needing to splash out on a new console," says Elliott Myers, CEO, IN2Games.
"Each peripheral is as accurate as any videogaming technology out there at the moment, but on an entirely new format. The games are fun, challenging and highly addictive, and the wireless peripherals offer the best way of controlling games on what will be this Christmas's most popular mainstream console."
IN2Games will launch the first six titles in the REALPLAY range at Christmas 2007. Its next-generation wireless motion-sensing controller "Freedom" (previously known as "Fusion") is still in development. More details on this revolutionary system, which recently led to a £7.76m venture capital round, will be announced soon.
"The REALPLAY range is all about value, fun and bringing wireless motion sensing gaming to new formats," concludes Myers. "We're continuing development on Freedom, our next generation of wireless motion sensing technology, but we wanted to publish something new and exciting in time for Christmas - and the REALPLAY range is certainly that."
In2Games will be exhibiting at the Leipzig Games Convention in Hall 2, stand D22.
