IN-FUSIO launches Ferrari Championship across Europe
Publisher extends relationship with Vodafone
Mobile games publisher IN-FUSIO has announced the launch of Ferrari Championship for Java enabled handsets, a new racing game which will be distributed exclusively throughout Europe on Vodafone Live!
Ferrari Championship will allow players to compete against 'official' Ferrari drivers from around the world on some of the most infamous and technically difficult F1 racetracks available.
Expert advice and insight into what to expect from each track is provided by Jean Trodt, and players can record their best laps and fastest times. They can also race against "ghost" cars for an added challenge.
Juergen Goeldner, VP of publishing at IN-FUSIO, commented: "The Ferrari brand is synonymous with excellence and leadership. We are delighted to capture this excitement, as a mobile game, and deliver it to the Vodafone Group across the globe."
The latest release marks the third successive distribution deal with Vodafone, which began with the launch of the first Vodafone Ferrari mobile game in April 2002. Ferrari Championship will be distributed through Vodafone Live! markets in the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Italy and will be compatible with over 55 Java-enabled handsets. France, Germany and Italy will also receive an enhanced IN-FUSIO ExEn version of the game.
Tim Harrison, head of games at Vodafone, commented: "The Ferrari games franchise has proved consistently popular with our customers over the last few years, and our collaboration with IN-FUSIO goes back further still. Ferrari Championship is another strong title to build upon our successful partnership."
IN-FUSIO's portfolio of over 90 mobile games includes licensed property such as Microsoft's Midtown Madness 3 Mobile and Zoo Tycoon 2 Mobile. The company recently secured the license to create mobile games and content for Bungie's renowned Halo franchise.
