iPhone sound app gets free Overlord II expansion in conjunction with Codemasters.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Phoenix, AZ – November 4, 2009 – TechPad Productions, a premier mobile applications and online publication publisher, today announced that an expansion pack based on the video game Overlord II is now available for iMEvil for iPhone™ and iPod® Touch on the Apple iTunes App Store. TechPad Productions worked closely with the team at Codemasters, publisher of Overlord II, to create the expansion pack, which is exclusive to iPhone. The pack is an optional free update for those who already have the iMEvil application on their devices.
With the update, users will be able to summon the Minions’ cackles and deliciously evil lines at the click of a button. Presented with a shiny new dock icon branded with Overlord II graphics when iMEvil is launched, users will have access to 36 new evil sound files from the game’s original recordings. Some of these include: blood-curdling screams, “For You,” “Be Evil Today,” “For the Overlord,” “Flying Mutton,” “Poor Me” and many more. Two full songs – “Ring around the Rosie” and “Soldiers” – also can be summoned to play using the app’s beautiful buttons created from original art assets. Gnarl will even make a few appearances to worship users!
“Codemasters is always looking for cutting-edge ways to get our games in front of new audiences,” said Mark Turosz, marketing manager, Codemasters. “TechPad Productions presented us with a perfect solution when an Overlord II expansion pack for iMEvil was suggested. So we collaborated to get it ready just in time for Halloween…the best time of year for evil sounds to be shared!”
"iMEvil's Overlord II pack is truly Evil Perfected,” said Ben Fisher, co-founder, TechPad Productions. “Working with Codemasters was a rewarding experience as we were able to create a free expansion pack that will be gobbled up by both Overlord and iMEvil fans alike. As the Minion's would say, ‘we’re here!’"
Also as part of this update, iMEvil now takes full advantage of the iPhone's 3.0 OS with the addition of in-application email. Users can now send feedback about the app without leaving the app itself.
Cost per download of iMEvil is $1.99 from the iTunes App Store ( http://imevil.techpadproductions.com), while the Overlord II update is free of charge. For more information on the Overlord II expansion pack, or iMEvil for iPhone, please visit www.evilperfected.com.
