IGN.COM APPOINTS NEW ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR

Staff changes made across IGN Network

London 11th September 2007 - IGN.com, the UK's leading online gaming and entertainment portal, today announced the appointment of Chris Tilly as its Entertainment Editor.

Tilly will be responsible for broadening IGN's editorial focus in the UK, encompassing a wide range of new entertainment specific channels, including TV, DVD and film. As IGN.com continues to evolve from the UK's leading gaming site to a top entertainment destination, Tilly will drive the depth of UK relevant content for the new channels.

Justin Keeling, European General Manager of IGN Entertainment, said: "IGN already offers the best gaming content to the most concentrated men's audience online in the UK. Chris's appointment will help bring the best in broader entertainment content to the site and help expand its reach further still. His experience will be invaluable in maintaining our position as the leading UK destination in the men's sector online.

"The IGN network now has more than 4.4 million unique users in the UK with over 2.75 million UK visitors a month to the IGN.com homepage alone. It's in response to feedback from the rapidly broadening reach of the site that we continue to grow the breadth of content on IGN."

Tilly's appointment is the culmination of six years spent working on the front line of film journalism. Having completed an MA in newspaper journalism at Nottingham Trent University, Chris landed a job as staff writer on cutting edge movie monthly Hotdog. After three years he joined the staff of Time Out as editor of the newly launched film website, introducing blogs, podcasts and video interviews to the basic content and overseeing a hugely successful global TimeOut Film redesign earlier this year. Chris has also contributed to Maxim, Bizarre, DVD Review and Little White Lies on a freelance basis as well as the 'Time Out Film Guide' and 'Halliwell's Top 1,000 Films'.

Meanwhile, Justin Keeling has been promoted from Publishing Director to European General Manager of IGN Entertainment, where he oversees strategic management and growth of the IGN family of brands across Europe, including: IGN.com, RottenTomatoes.com, AskMen.com and Direct2Drive.co.uk.

Alex Simmons, formally UK Games Editor for IGN.com has also been promoted to UK Editor-in-Chief of IGN.com to reflect the broader entertainment focus of the UK site.

IGN Entertainment was recently announced as the UK's number one online destination for males aged 18-34, with more than 4.45 million unique users visiting the network in July (ComScore).
