London - 18th February, 2010 - IGN.com, the UK’s largest video games and movies portal, has announced an exciting new UK video series as well as revealing stunning figures that reveal it is the No.1 gaming channel on YouTube.
IGN attracts 2.5 million YouTube video views a month in the UK with global video views topping 25 million video views making it the largest gaming channel on YouTube. Blyth’s fast-paced gag-riddled reports take a sideways swipe at video game culture, successfully straddling the divide between the core and casual gaming audience.
IGN is active in taking its message to as wide a gaming audience as possible across all platforms and has evolved into a market-leading entertainment media provider with ‘content without borders’. The acclaimed IGN UK podcast launched in 2009 and has been labelled the ‘Top Gear of games podcasts’ by the iTunes community while the IGN UK Twitter group also enjoys the largest UK games media following.
“We are continually striving to ensure our editorial policy of ‘IGN Everywhere’ pushes our content into all areas of reader engagement. Our brand continues to grow in popularity and stature as we continue to reach and service the evolving gaming audience”, said Alex Simmons, Editor-in-Chief, IGN UK.
This initiative is another example of how IGN is taking its message to gaming consumers, using all available mediums to reinforce its position as the market leading games media owner.
